TREATING AGE SPOTS ON THE HANDS

Age spots on the hands are characterized by various shades of scattered brown pigmentation that often parallels the brown spots seen in the aging face. Yet, treatment of the hands is often overlooked. The advent of light based devices has afforded patients the opportunity to safely and effectively diminish or eliminate these unwanted spots.

The new Nordlys system uses Selective Waveband Technology (SWT) to exclude unnecessary wavelengths of light so that only those beneficial to treatment of the brown pigmentation are delivered in precise energy pulses. These pulses result in heat that “energizes” the age spots, causing them to separate, so that they are effectively treated in 1-3 monthly sessions. The precision of the Nordlys technology has made the treatments both comfortable and fast requiring no more than 10-15 minutes. Dr. Forley has found that the hands respond remarkably well to the treatment protocol with only a single treatment needed in many cases.
